Entering the World of Chinese Characters | 走进汉字的世界
📚 Today, I want to share something a little different from my usual content — 汉字造字法 (how Chinese characters were created).
Chinese characters didn’t appear all at once.
They were slowly formed from how ancient people observed the world, recorded life, and tried to make meaning out of what they saw.
汉字造字法 is the way Chinese characters were created.
It shows how shapes, sounds, and ideas were combined to turn daily experiences into written language.
From drawing what people saw to expressing abstract ideas, each method reflects a different stage of thinking in early Chinese civilization. These systems didn’t just create characters — they preserved memory, culture, and ways of understanding the world.
This PPT is a short and simple introduction to the main methods of Chinese character formation.
No heavy theory — just the basics, explained clearly and visually, so it’s easier to understand and remember.
If you’re learning Chinese, studying literature, or simply curious about where characters come from, I hope this can be a gentle starting point.
