pinyin: d\u00e0 xi\u00f9 sh\u0101n) which means big sleeve robe is a traditional Chinese outer garment, with wide sleeves.<\/p>\n<p>Daxiushan can also be referred to as dianchailiyi (Chinese: \u94bf\u9497\u793c\u8863 ; pinyin: di\u00e0n ch\u0101i l\u01d0 y\u012b) and dashan (Chinese: \u5927\u886b ; pinyin: d\u00e0 sh\u0101n) or daxiu (Chinese: \u5927\u8896 ; pinyin: d\u00e0 xi\u00f9) in the Ming dynasty.<\/p>\n<p>Daxiushan was most popular during the Tang dynasty, especially among the royals.<\/p>\n<p>Daxiushan was originally men\u2019s clothing in the Wei and Jin dynasties, but in the Tang dynasty, it referred to women\u2019s wide sleeve dresses.<\/p>\n<p>Daxiushan can be with a central front collar or dui-jin, long sleeves, and with slits and straps.<\/p>\n<p>After the Tang dynasty, the daxiushan also continued to be used in the Song and Ming dynasties.<\/p>\n<h4>History<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Tang dynasty and Five Dynasties &amp; pinyin: b\u00e8i zi) instead.<\/p>\n<p>In both the Song and Ming dynasties, the daxiushan had a San Jiao Dou (\u4e09\u89d2\u515c, triangular pocket) on the back or short in front and long in the back.<\/p>\n<p>As a high-specification Lifu or Jifu, the daxiushan should be worn with xiapei plus peizhui or commonly known as xiapeizhui (Chinese: \u971e\u5e14\u5760 ; pinyin: xi\u00e1 p\u00e8i zhu\u00ec).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ming dynasty<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the Ming dynasty, daxiushan was known as dashan (Hanzi: \u5927\u886b ; pinyin: d\u00e0 sh\u0101n) or daxiu (Hanzi: \u5927\u8896 ; pinyin: d\u00e0 xi\u00f9).<\/p>\n<p>The yellow dashan was worn by the Huanghou (Chinese: \u7687\u540e ; pinyin: hu\u00e1ng h\u00f2u) or empress, while the red dashan was worn by the women of the imperial clan, which could include Huangfei (Chinese: \u7687\u5983; pinyin: hu\u00e1ng f\u0113i) or imperial concubine, Huangtaizifei (Chinese: \u7687\u592a\u5b50\u5983; pinyin: hu\u00e1ng t\u00e0i z\u01d0 f\u0113i) or crown princess, Qinwangfei (Chinese: \u4eb2\u738b\u5983; Fashionable high bun with large peonies in the hairpin and jasmine flowers at the bottom.
