The painting \u201cA Court Lady Adorns Her Hair With Flowers\u201d by the 8th-century painter Zhou Fang, of the Tang dynasty, is used as the main reference for restoring the hezi today.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, there are Song dynasty Moxiong archaeological artifacts unearthed in Fujian Province.<\/p>\n<p>Moxiong in the Song dynasty was a one-piece garment worn as an undergarment, but more conservative in style as it covered the wearer\u2019s chest and abdomen.<\/p>\n<h4>Modern Moxiong<\/h4>\n<p>Today, there are three types of Song dynasty style Moxiong produced and sold by Hanfu merchants, namely:<\/p>\n<p><strong>a. Gongzizhe Moxiong (\u5de5\u5b57\u8936\u62b9\u80f8 ; g\u014dng z\u00ec zh\u011b m\u01d2 xi\u014dng)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gongzizhe Moxiong featuring square folding is a 21st-century invention and didn\u2019t exist in the Song dynasty.<\/p>\n<p>Its creation and development were the results of restoration errors by early Hanfu merchants while trying to recover cultural relics of the Song dynasty in the past.<\/p>\n<p><strong>b. Sanjiao Shousheng Moxiong (\u4e09\u89d2\u6536\u7701\u62b9\u80f8 ; s\u0101n ji\u01ceo sh\u014du sh\u011bng m\u01d2 xi\u014dng)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are two types of sanjiao shousheng Moxiong: fixed pleats and non-fixed pleats. Currently, traders do most of the fixed folding. Compared to the gongzizhe Moxiong type, the sanjiao shousheng Moxiong fits the body curves better.<\/p>\n<p><strong>c. One-piece Moxiong (\u4e00\u7247\u5f0f\u62b9\u80f8 ; y\u012b pi\u00e0n sh\u00ec m\u01d2 xi\u014dng)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One-piece Moxiong is a Moxiong without folds.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Moxiong (Chinese: \u62b9\u80f8 ; pinyin: m\u01d2 xi\u014dng), is an undergarment worn by women with Hanfu.
