We will start with 4 types of hairpins that often make people confused:<\/p>\n<p>Ji (\u7b04 j\u012b) \u2013 the simplest hairpin to secure the hairdo used by the ancient Chinese.<\/p>\n<p>Zan (\u7c2a z\u0101n) \u2013 a more complex version of Ji.<\/p>\n<p>Chai (\u9497 ch\u0101i) \u2013 a hairpin very similar to a Zan.
